Awaken.

"Open a window's eye to the tender mercies of spring. To chive-colored breezes, tastes of fiddlehead and fern, nights the color of rain, birdsong drenched in morning. Dreams fragile as blue eggs."
                                            Diane Hanna

This bush has to be the best mother's day present in the history of mother's days.  I guess birthing a child on Mother's Day could tie for a close second.  But I am thrilled with this bush I got last year from my family. It didn't bloom last year, so this morning when I stepped outside and was greeted by these darlings opening their eyes to the sunshine, I became instantly giddy.  Spring is surely here!
