Summer 2010

There have been a lot of changes for us this year. Besides moving twice, we actually bought a house of our very own! I am looking forward to not moving again in a long while. A quick list of updates we've given to the 1956 brick cube include: refinished hardwood floors, lots of paint, an attic access, minor plumbing and sprinkler repairs. We are currently ripping out sod in the backyard for next year's patio. Yay! I cannot wait to host bbqs out there!

We've worked hard, but also played hard this summer. Ezra had his first trip to Pella, IA, where he met his Great Grandpa & Grandma DeBoef (Melinda's grandparents). It was a road trip with Grandma Gagestein, Aunt Ange, Violet and 2 wk. old Micah. After that, we drove up to WI where he went to the beach, canoed, played with his cousins, had his first birthday and met another great grandma--GiGi. Babies sure do make grandparents happy!

The long drive was definitely worth all the sights and all the good company we had along the way. Summer is so much fun!
